OVERVIEW
When a limited number of production quality sheet metal parts are needed, DPT can provide cost-effective parts in a variety of materials in a short turn-around time.
PROCESS
Step 1
The process begins with CNC punching a blank from sheet stock.Step 2
The geometry is then formed using custom tooling.In addition to cuts and bends, the geometry formed can include gussetting, knurling, embossing, and contouring.
The process takes up to five days from start to finish. If additional parts are needed, the tooling can then be used to produce short-run production parts.
