An Overview
GF Nylon also known as GF/Nylon, Glass Fiber/Nylon, or Glass Filled Nylon, is a thermoplastic composite consisting of the commingling of glass fibers with nylon with the hope of developing a material more robust than each material separately. This material performs like conventional thermoplastic nylon, resisting heat while still retaining flexibility and physical properties. This material is ideal when greater dimensional accuracy, stiffness or high load heat deflection is required. The SLS process uses GF Nylon that contains Grass Beads rather than Glass fibers therefore the impact strength of SLS GF Nylon is not equivalent the impact strength of production GF Nylon.
